MANTI

An Anatolian dish, pasta including minced meat mixture, largely resembling ravioli. Served with yoghurt (preferably with garlic), melted butter, tomato sauce and spices…Most people prefer to eat pickles with this dish… The food may be prepared and served in different ways depending on the cooking traditions of various Anatolian cultures.

PİDE

A kind of food very much like pizza… Might be cooked with cheese, minced meat or meat topped on a banana shaped thin bread. It is also possible to taste the mixed pide which contains various ingredients.  Some people prefer pide with additional egg topping.

SİGARA BÖREĞİ

“Börek” is a kind of pastry which occupies a very remarkable place in Turkish cuisine. There are different kinds of “börek”. This one, as its name also implies (“sigara” meaning “cigarette”) is rolled in the shape of a cigarette. It usually contains cheese and parsley or minced meat but cooking with other ingredients is also possible. It is fried in oil and therefore is not a very light food.
